Do you like a cosy, warm and stylish atmosphere? Then we have an appealing offer for lovers of canvas pictures: Our high-quality Classic canvas and the premium product "Artist" from Hahnemühle are based on natural products, are natural white and are professionally printed with our 12-colour printers. The surface texture gives our canvas prints a lively effect. Your photos on traditional canvas convey a cosy aesthetic with simple elegance.

Our canvas prints are mounted on a solid stretcher frame (wooden frame), which is manufactured to the exact millimetre in your desired format. The real wood stretcher frames made of aspen are finger-jointed and laminated, are produced in Switzerland and come from exemplary forestry (FSC Mix). We do not use any tropical woods.

Standard format or a customised format?

At printolino, you can order your photo on canvas in all the usual standard formats or in customised formats down to the millimetre. Every format is available from 20 x 20 cm per partial image up to 500 x 140 cm (total image). We are happy to produce even larger images on request.

Our canvas pictures are not processed by machine, but are produced by hand using Swiss quality craftsmanship. Both the individual assembly of the stretcher frame and the stretching of the canvas onto the stretcher frame are carried out by hand by our qualified employees.

This premium canvas from Hahnemühle is made from a sturdy, durable polyester-cotton blend. It is this combination of materials that makes it so impressive with its high dimensional stability and excellent durability. The natural white canvas is free from optical brighteners and is characterised by its genuine cotton structure, which optimally supports the artistic character. Acid and lignin-free, it fulfils the highest requirements for ageing resistance and is perfect for high-quality photo prints and fine art reproductions. The surface was specially developed for pigment inks and masters even the most demanding printing requirements. Thanks to the matt premium coating, it achieves brilliant colour results, deep blacks, excellent contrasts and an impressive level of detail.

This natural white, matt canvas is made from a cotton fabric that combines a natural feel with high durability. The cotton material gives the surface a soft, fine texture that is ideal for vivid colours and harmonious gradients. The matt coating reliably reduces distracting light reflections and ensures that details appear clear and balanced. The reverse side is a natural beige colour. The canvas supports uniform colour reproduction and ensures a pleasant, natural image effect. It is an excellent choice for art and photo reproductions that require an expressive and aesthetic presentation.

For larger formats in particular, we always recommend that you choose a thicker stretcher frame to give the canvas picture even more stability and an even higher quality appearance. In terms of stability, you can also use the 2 cm stretcher frame for a larger picture.
You can also order your canvas picture without a stretcher frame, i.e. flat/unstretched (like a poster). We then add a 5 cm white border to the picture as standard.

• 2 cm stretcher frame (selected as standard): Inexpensive, lightweight and yet high quality, round edges
• 3 cm stretcher frame: Very stable, round edges, three-dimensional effect Recommended for larger formats
• 4 cm stretcher frame: For museum quality, square edges, particularly robust, extra depth Recommended for large pictures.
• Without stretcher frame (plano): Flat, shipped rolled, with 5 cm white border

With "Photo over page", the image is dragged over the sides. Your image motif simply continues over the sides.

This is our customers' favourite option and is ordered most frequently.

Note: Does your image have important content right up to the edge of the image? Then it is better to select the "Unprinted" or "Colour" option for the side area. Otherwise you could lose important image content to the side area.

With this option, the side surfaces remain unprinted, white. Your entire motif is only visible on the front of the picture. This option is suitable if you really want to have the entire image on the front of the canvas picture.

An unprinted side surface is often used for art reproductions.

With this option, you can colour the side areas with any colour. You can select your desired colour using a colour picker or enter the desired RGB colour value directly. Here you can also see the entire image on the front.

With shadow gap frames made of real wood, every canvas picture looks even more beautiful.

The wood used for the mouldings of our shadow gap profiles comes from sustainably managed European forests. The mouldings are manufactured and finished in Switzerland. In our factory, the mouldings are cut to size and assembled by hand into a shadow gap frame and screwed to the canvas picture.

We offer shadow gap frames for all 3 stretcher frame thicknesses (2 cm, 3 cm and 4 cm) in 6 different finishes:

• White or black (lacquered lime wood base)
• Natural lime wood or natural lime wood with brightening oil finish
• Natural oak or natural oiled oak

Dispatch and collection

We use sturdy special packaging, with additional edge protection if necessary. All products produced by us are dispatched by Swiss Post. Because it is important to us that the pictures survive the journey to you undamaged. You also have the option of collecting your photo on canvas directly from us at Technopark Lucerne in Root D4.
