Posters & adhesive posters

This version requires an additional picture frame/mount to hang the picture on the wall. Of course, you can also attach the poster directly to the desired location using pins or adhesive strips.

You can simply stick our adhesive posters to the wall or any other surface. Please note the specific adhesive properties of our adhesive posters (repositionable, permanent adhesive, etc.).

Canvas pictures

With canvas pictures, you do not need a special frame or special hanging devices. All you need are two nails or screws on which you can hang your canvas picture directly. Make sure that you choose suitable nails/screws that can support the weight of your canvas picture.

Images on aluminium dibond, acrylic and forex

If you have ordered your picture with suspension, the respective suspensions are already pre-assembled. Normally, two additional nails or screws are sufficient to fix your picture to the wall. Please ensure that you use suitable nails/screws that can bear the weight of your picture.

HOW TO MEASURE?

First you need to measure the picture and the wall so that you know exactly where it should be placed.

Materials required:

• Ruler/Metre
• Pencil
• Spirit level

HOW TO SET UP?

It depends on how high your wall is and how high you want your picture to hang. As a rule of thumb, hang the picture at 1.50 metres high or so that two thirds of the picture is below your eye level and the rest above.

NAILS OR SCREWS?

Depending on the nature of the wall and the size of the picture.

TIP:

Instead of wiping up the drilling dust on the floor, stick a folded sheet of paper on the wall below the place where you are drilling. Fold the paper so that it looks like a small vase.

HANGING AND ALIGNING SEVERAL PICTURES

Do you have several pictures? How about combining them with each other?

There are various options for aligning your images.

With all variants, it is important to imagine an imaginary line along which the pictures are aligned. The spirit level plays an important role here.

Ausrichten an einer Unter- oder Oberkante

Die einfachste Variante ist, wenn Sie alle Bilder an einer fixen Unter- oder Oberkante ausrichten.

Ausrichten an der Mitte

Diese Variante sieht man oft bei Ausstellungen. Die Mitte jedes Bildes soll an der imaginären Linie vertikal ausgerichtet werden.

Collage

Hier gibt es keine imaginäre Linie, sondern ein imaginäres Kreuz. Die Bilder sind dann sowohl vertikal als auch horizontal ausgerichtet.

Von aussen nach innen

Man stellt sich einen rechtwinkligen Kasten vor, wo alle Bilder diese Fläche auffüllen. Das eignet sich eher für grosse Wände und besonders für Bilder mit verschiedenen Formaten.

Gleiches Format

Gleiche Darstellung wie beim «von aussen nach innen». Sehr eindrucksvoll.

Symmetrische Hängung

Bei der symmetrischen Hängung werden Bilder links und rechts einer gedachten Mittelachse gleichmässig angeordnet. Diese Variante wirkt besonders ruhig, klassisch und elegant. Sie eignet sich gut über Sofas, Sideboards, Betten oder Esstischen. Symmetrie vermittelt Ordnung und ist deshalb eine sichere Wahl für repräsentative Räume.

Petersburger Hängung

Die Petersburger Hängung ist eine bewusst dichte, salonartige Anordnung vieler Bilder an einer Wand. Unterschiedliche Formate, Rahmen und Motive werden miteinander kombiniert.
